Hi there, I’m Hannah! I like to crochet. A lot. In fact, you might even be justified in calling me a Crochet Nerd.
I am so obsessed with it, that I started a blog with all my designs, and dedicated it to my fellow Crochet Nerds. Is that normal? I don’t know. But anyway, here I am!
I am the oldest of ten kids, and I live in Wyoming with my parents, five brothers, four sisters, eight chickens, and my colossal yarn collection. We moved here about nine years ago from Texas, and before that from Kansas, and before that from Oklahoma…well, you get the picture. Wyoming is definitely my favorite place, though, and I love the beautiful mountains and prairie here!
With regard to my siblings, yes, there are ten of us. Our home is something we like to call, “happy chaos”. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! You’ll probably be hearing a lot about my family, if you decide to frequent this blog.
A lot of people have some epic story to tell about how crocheting changed their lives or helped them to fulfill their wildest dreams. For me, it’s something I’ve just always done, and I enjoy making gifts for my family and friends. As far as designing goes, I’ve been doing it ever since I first started crocheting. I was never quite happy with any of the patterns I followed, so I would mess around with them until I had one that was to my liking. Then one day, I gave up and started making my own. That’s pretty much my career as a designer, thus far. Of course I still follow SOME patterns, but for the most part, I make them up.
These days, I’m busy finishing up high school, working part-time, and coming up with new ideas to share with you guys. Besides crocheting, I also enjoy sunflowers (well, duh), reading, writing, violin, and making bread. I mean, I do other things too, but seriously, how long of an About Me page do you want?
I’m so glad you visited! And you can always come back…even if you don’t crochet and just want hear me blab about my life.
If you have a question about one of my patterns (or really, anything crochet), feel free to comment on the post or email me at: [email protected]
